Kaotao
by J. A. Garcia
"The Kaotao is a very brief overview of the correlations between the eight colors of majik from the Chaos Majik of Peter Carroll, the eight immortals or Ba Xian of the Taoist pantheon and the eight trigrams of the I Ching. [The author's] purpose in putting this together in legible format was in the hope that fellow practitioners of the occult sciences and Chaos Majik in particular may find an easy reference correlating the sacred eight of the Taoist tradition to the sacred eight of the Chaos anti-tradition.
"It occurred to me during my paradigmal piracy of Taoist tradition that the number eight was of extreme import. In fact the number eight turns up more than once in awhile throughout history. Aside from the noted Taoist current you also find the eight in the Egyptian Ogdoad of the pre-creation universe. Pythagoras considered the number eight to be the number of perfection." —J A Garcia
This elegant, little booklet is well put together, and nicely illustrated. It represents a general superimposition of chaos magic over the Tao Te Ching.
